From Seoul, in 2022, Jun Lim left a career in investment banking to pursue the one pursuit that had held his attention since adolescence: fragrance, entirely on his own terms. The house he founded, BORNTOSTANDOUT, is built on a single principle — that self-expression, however inconvenient, is the only worthy subject for perfumery. The bottles are the first statement: matte white forms drawn from the dignified silhouette of Joseon-era porcelain, interrupted by bold crimson type that names its compositions without apology.
